Thank Goodness for Family/Neighbors

So, anyone who knows me knows that I am not a horse person.  I love them from afar, but they’re just too big of creatures for me to be comfortable with.  Don’t you know that they’d get out (all 3!) on a day when my husband went to work for 6 a.m. and isn’t getting back until 9 p.m.  Thankfully, his cousins live nearby and are horse people, so they wrangled them and stuck them in their own pasture until later today.  We are family people on any day, but days like today, I’m even more thankful for their help and support. I honestly don’t know what I would have done…somehow, wrangling three horses with a 10 week old doesn’t seem like much fun.

It was hard enough putting up one of our young chickens that escaped and was getting tormented by a rooster.  Must be that kind of day!

It’s actually one of our first beautiful days in Vermont that has happened in a long time.  We’re up past 70 degrees already!  Woot woot!  The kids only have about 9 days of school before summer vacation starts. They are ready, but I’m not sure I am!  Four kids day in, day out is going to be some adjustment!  ğŸ™‚

Hope everyone has a happy, blessed day!
